  2. Don’t run with suckers in your mouth. Avoid loose wrappings that are un wrapped. Never accept homemade candy. Candy safety

  3. Stranger safety Never walk near a stranger with any bad thing in their hands If a person talks to you that you don’t know just walk away. Never accept rides from strangers. Report any suspicious things to a police or a parent.

  4. Costume safety Try on costumes before Halloween to allow time for altering. Wear comfortable practical shoes. Shoes should fit(even if they don’t go with your costume. Wear flame retardant costumes.

  5. Carry a flashlight wear ever you walk. Traveling safety Walk don't run. Stay on sidewalks. Obey traffic signals. Stay familiar neighborhoods.

  6. Other safety tips Be polite and say thank you. Respect other peoples property. Consider having a party instead of going trick-or-treating. Walk with your head up and be aware of your surroundings.
