  1. Call for Papers: deadline for abstract July 2nd, 2004 International Symposium Geology and Linear Infrastructures 23-25 May 2005 Lyon, France Jointly organized by : http://geoline2005.brgm.fr French Committee for Engineering Geology and Environment BRGM

  2. Topics The symposium will cover 3 major topics. Each will be developed during a specific plenary session: Session 1 : Field investigations: Strategy, Organisation, Methods, and Uncertainties Session 2 : Inserting the Structure in its Environment Session 3 : Construction, Monitoring, Evolution and Maintenance Complementary to technical sessions held in plenary meetings, the following events will be organized: Posters Session (23-25 May) Exhibition (23-25 May) Technical Tours (26 and 27 May) http://geoline2005.brgm.fr

  3. Geology and Pleasure : Beaujolais Vineyard Stretching from the North of Lyon to the Southern Burgundy, Beaujolais wine is unique and richly diverse. Worldfamous for its crus such as Chiroubles, Brouilly, Saint-Amour… and the well-known Beaujolais Nouveau, this wine stems from only one cepage : the gamay. In the Beaujolais area, they are subtle links between the wine and the nature of the soil. Vine is growing on various grounds : calcareous, derivate, crystalline, metamorphic and even volcanic rocks. http://geoline2005.brgm.fr

  4. All along this journey, we will pass through wonderful landscapes and medieval villages built with golden stones and will visit wine cellar where the Beaujolais could be tasted. • This tour could be organised before and after technical program of the symposium : Sunday May 22th, 2005 Saturday May28th, 2005 http://geoline2005.brgm.fr
