  1. Problem Solving and Idea Sharing 2012 New Class Officer Training

  2. Officer Dilemmas • Your class had a low turnout at your recent reunion and your board wants to rebuild its interaction with your classmates over the full five year term. What programs and outreach will you will undertake to achieve that goal? • Your class president stops communicating with the rest of the board, leaving no one in charge. What does the board do to reengage the president and keep the class’ activities moving forward? • Your outgoing class treasurer has not turned over the necessary information about your class’s bank account, checkbook or any other materials. How does your class address this problem? • Your class does not have enough money in its treasury to conduct any activities. What will you do to increase your funds?

  7. Your class communication over the Internet is either non-existent or woefully not up-to-date. The class Web Coordinator seems to have gone to sleep on the job. What are the first steps to take to “wake” her up and what resources can you call on from the Alumnae Association?

  8. Great Ideas to Build On • Contact all classmates who have not attended reunion or participated in class activities and encourage them to check out the website and provide an update • Build an ongoing connection to a class of students on campus that will be at future reunions with you • Post photos on website of years on campus, “The Way We Were” • Highlight classmates’ accomplishments in personal/professional lives • Build a dynamic webpage/Facebook that draws classmates in • Hold mini-reunions where there are clusters of classmates – or where people want to go
