Symbaloo • Symbaloo is an excellent bookmarking tool for organizing information. • My Symbaloo assist me with resources for career and job searches. • I have included the following resources: Google, Yahoo, Linkedin, Moodle, Resume builder, UNC-Pembroke Career Center, PSRC, NCDPI, and Workforce Development

  4. Prezi Prezi presentations are more engaging to an audience. It is cloud-based which allows accessibility from various devices such as: laptops, iPADs, or iPhones. I created a Prezi titled, “Marketing CDF Training”

Career Center Visit: UNC-Pembroke • The center employs a director with a Ph.D and two staff members who have M.A.ED in counseling. • The center introduces services at Freshmen Seminars • Interest inventories are provided such as: Myers Briggs, Self-directed Searches, and Focus and Strong’s. • Contains a small resource library to help with resumes, interviews, and job applications. • Center host career expos, job fairs, workshops, and parent day.

  7. Career Center Visit: Robeson Community College (Academic) Leadership; same as UNC-P Services are similar to UNC-P Center contains a computer lab which allows students to take placement test. Test such as: The Compass and Accuplacer allow counselors to assess student skills for placement in courses. Offers a variety of student outreach activities

  9. Career Center Visit: Workforce Development (Continuing Ed.) Located at Robeson Community College Provide job readiness classes Target is teaching basic computer skills, keytrain/career ready 101. (Certification awarded) Received $2.5 million grant for Better Occupational Outcomes with Stimulation Training (BOOST) grant. The grant will be used to recruit students interested in entry-level health careers such as: Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, and LPN Prepares students for immediate employment
