  2. Fix • Quotations • You must use one of the three quotation formats I’ve taught you. No other format for this essay is acceptable. Notes for all of these formats are on my website. • If you are quoting something that is a full sentence within the quotation marks (not in the original source), it must get a full sentence intro. • Citations • You must cite all information that is not yours—that includes paraphrasing. • Statistics • Are helpful, almost always. But they still need to be explained. If you tell me that “more people do ______ than ______”, I need evidence of that. Very few essays don’t need some type of this research. • Studies/Researchers/Etc. • If you say “research” or “studies suggest,” I want to know the study, what year it was done, and who did it. • Example: “Researchers at the Institute for Stadnycki found out in a 2007 study that _____.” • The more studies you can find to back up any of the information you have, the better. Some studies are done by the very people that are trying to skew information, so more = better with studies and statistics.

  3. How to resubmit • When you give me a final draft, you must do the following, or I will NOT ACCEPT it. • Fix as many of the errors/issues as humanly possible. • Highlight the seconds of the essay you revised or fixed • If you fixed a comma issue or something small like a typo, you do not need to highlight this. • Label the quotations you’re using as either “formal,” “informal,” or “KWPQ” to show me that you know which quotation format you’re using and that you’ve reviewed it. • For every change that is highlighted, I want to know what you changed and why you changed it/why you think it’s better in a comment bubble off to the right. I will be focusing on these areas when I decide your final grade. • 5-7 pages is the page range. No more, no less.

  4. Hey, Stad, um, why do you sound like such a jerk in these comments? I DON’T AGREE WITH YOU! …on principle, so I can help you as much as possible by showing you potential flaws in your argument. I read from the perspective of someone who would disagree with you outright. Fix the holes, and the essay is fixed.
