  25. Weaknesses in SERP • Lack of capacity building • Inability to change to new roles

  26. Opportunities in SERP • SHGs , VOs, MMSs, ZSs • Bank linkage stabilized – capital available • Recognition among other line departments • Availability of resources like NRLM, SCSP, TSP etc.

Challenges for all of us • Universe across communities and across villages • Large no of minimum needs of the poor • Capacity building of CCs • Monitoring the performance of cutting edge staff • Cultural issues like non-accountability and corruption • CBOs yet to act as agents for addressing the ultra poverty

What should we do ? • Should be able to see poverty and our target groups of communities • Develop strategies to include real poor , strengthen their SHGs, repayments, providing facilitation support • Acquire multi-tasking skills • Acquire monitoring skills • Team building • Communication building • Use of IT

What should we do ? • Convergence with other program and effective implementation of our programs • Poverty of food – ICDS, PDS, NDCC implementation • Poverty of education –Linking out of school children, access to higher education • Poverty of health – work with ANM s, PHCs, • Lack of shelter – Housing program • Lack of assets / Livelihoods /incomes – Investment plans for asset creation, effective grounding , NREGS, Lands • Prone to risk – access to pensions , Insurance
