Our E-Club and Its Members • Our members are very international and come from all over Europe and in Africa • Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal and Zimbabwe as well as - from all over District 1130 Very difficult to ‘get together’ Meet at Conferences and York Gate occasionally For ENGAGEMENT ……..we asked ourselves What ISour COMMUNITY? www.rotaryinlondon.org

  4. PARTNERSHIP! Junior Achievement/Young Enterprise JA STARTED OUT IN 1919 IN THE US WITH UK CHANGING THE NAME - BUT NOT THE SYSTEM 50 YEARS AGO www.rotaryinlondon.org

  5. VOCATION IN ACTION • 2012-13 - All members asked to put forward recommendations for projects for the new year • Entrepreneurship needed in all countries • Members agreed to go ahead with a project in Zimbabwe www.rotaryinlondon.org

How We Used Our Skills ENZO – After coming to the Foundation Assembly at York Gate he applied for the District grant Stella – Provided the Secretarial assistance Chris – Helped with Planning Michael – Handled all the financial arrangements A Rotary Club in Zimbabwe provided the on-the-ground assistance – Director of JA is a member! Junior Achievement Zimbabwe (JAZ) did the training Jo Ann visits them several times whilst in Zimbabwe

At The School • A Patron – currently the English teacher, motivates the students and keeps them on track and liaises with JA in Harare • A Business Studies Teacher who explains the complexities of the business terms and actions • A Mentor from the Business sector who can guide the students on what happens in real business situations www.rotaryinlondon.org
