  6. Roles and Responsibilities of Pradeshiya Sabha • Supervision • Participate in Planning • Provide technical assistance • Assurance of the quality of the construction works • Capacity building of WUA • Conflict resolution • Progress monitoring • Facilitation of O&M activities

  7. Roles and Responsibilities of WUA (Beneficiaries) • Active participation in Planning • Undertake ownership and management of the water supply schemes • Undertake operation and maintenance of facilities • Implementation of Sanitation and Hygiene Programme and operation of SRF

Roles and Responsibilities of the NWSDB • Mobilization of rural communities • Provision of Funds • Formation of WUAa • Training of WUSs • Water source investigation • Planning and scheme designing along with WUA • Construction planning and supervision • Progress monitoring (Physical/ Financial) and reporting • Process and progress monitoring • Overall responsibility of project implementation • Capacity building of PSs
