  4. AXIOMS to Consider • Do the Right thing • Don't TRY to fit in • Work as a team/it's not about you • Make the boss/coworkers look good • Don't carry tales, tell tales • Be trustworthy, honest • Deliver • Have fun • Volunteer for more responsibility • Do without being asked

  5. Know who you are • What do you do well • life balance - home and children • What are your strengths • Follow your path • Have a path over time • Opportunities arise • Be open to those opportunities • If you are unhappy/what needs to change • Take charge of your life

  6. I Am a Female PHS Officer You are an Officer • PHS is not the military, but we do have a chain of command • PHS Officers - men and women have responsibilities separate from our civilian colleagues • Balance is within your control • Remember - do what is right
