  4. Writing Prompt Think of a person who is special to you. Why is this person special to you? Write a story about a memorable time with that person.

He will be going away to college in the fall and I’m going to miss him. Maybe someday, when we are both all grown up, we will go to an NBA game together. That would be amazing.

  15. Go back to the introductory paragraph of your story. Reread your introduction. Sometimes our conclusions bring us back to the beginning of the essay. Write a conclusion that reminds the reader of how the story began.

  16. Below is a student draft without a strong conclusion. Rewrite the conclusion to make it stronger. My coach rocks! She is super special to me and the other girls on my basketball team. I hope that she is my coach again next year.
