enhanced in apperance by a magnificent thick shaggy mane of long hair which falls on the neck, shoulders and part of the throat and chin.

Female is not graced with this adornment and smaller than male

Food = zebra, antelopes, buffaloes

His terrific roar put terror into every animal in hearing distance
