Core Activity of the project

Recruitment of 120 elderly people involved in each country

Baseline assessment for each participant on health, well-being, social participation and identity, and attitudes to computer use.

4 months of training and support each

Duration: June 2014 – September 2014

All data collected from participants will be analyzed to address the research questions and predictions posed.

Data analysis will allow to determine:

whether changes / improvements relating to cognitive ability, social participation and well-being are significantly different for our intervention and control groups

whether participants in domiciliary settings show greater improvements than residential participants

whether our findings hold firm across two different national settings.

Monitoring

Aim: to ascertain the achievement of the milestones of the 5 steps of the project.

Will follow the entire project, in order to make sure the various phases are implemented in a timely way and as anticipated.

Object: design and preparation of materials; recruitment of participants; data treatment; results delivery; measures to ensure ownership and scale.

Aims: ensure the credibility of the study component of AGES 2.0; explore transferability, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility of the Easy PC instrument; understand the degree of transferability and scaling up of the project; assess the innovativeness of the model.
