INCREASING CARIBBEAN TRADE AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES EU-funded BizClim Project Four components: • A study of constraints to EU-Caribbean business • A preliminary study tour to 5 European countries • A visit to Europe by up to 30 Caribbean business executives to develop export/investment opportunities and • An EU/Caribbean Business Forum in the Caribbean

  8. Caribbean Export TFO Canada Agreement Four areas of focus: trade in services investment attraction gift and crafts sector, and the development of a web-based trade information system. INCREASING CARIBBEAN TRADE AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

  9. INCREASING CARIBBEAN TRADE AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES Agreement for Caribbean Trade and Private Sector Development Programme (CTPSDP) Phase 2 signed EUR 6.883 million allocated to Caribbean Export Main objectives: • trade integration • economic growth & • poverty alleviation

Caribbean Trade & Private Development Programme (CTPSDP-2) Expected Results: • Increased competitiveness of firms • A vibrant Caribbean Business and Investment Support Network • Greater cooperation between CARIFORUM and the French and Dutch Caribbean territories (DOMs and OCTs). • Publication of an annual report on the state of the Caribbean regulatory environment and on regional foreign direct investment (FDI). • Assistance with EPA implementation.
