  1. Famous Cities in Russia to visit Russia is also one of the most populous and is home to some of the largest cities in the world. The country also has the ninth highest population. A country of epic proportions; Russia’s grand and elegant cities mirror this sense of size and scale in their layout and design. Russia is a superpower with an extremely strong military force and a lot of global influence. Russia has a storied and complex history and has played major roles in countless wars and conflicts throughout the years. Russia has a unique history and place in the world, and that distinction is captured in its Famous cities of Russia which is very famous in-between travelers and visitors and the beauty is fabulous of these amazing cities. List of Famous cities of Russia: 1. St. Petersburg

This city is situated in the western part of the country and covers an area of 180 square miles. Nizhny Novgorod played a large role in World War II, manufacturing and providing weapons and equipment to forces.
