  3. Why She Is Famous • She is famous because she invented liquid paper. • Began marketing her invention as “Mistake Out” in 1956. • The name was later changed to “White Out”. • In 1979, she sold her invention to the Gillette Corporation for $47.9 million.

  4. Why She Is Famous • Her company employed 200 people and made 25 million bottles of Liquid Paper per year. • Her liquid paper is made up of white, water-based, tempera paint

  5. What Impacts She Have On Society • Her invention of liquid paper saves people time because they can just mark it out with liquid paper instead of erasing it • It also saves people time because if they make a mistake they can just white it out instead of starting over.
