  1. Coral Reef Hissa AlMawlawi

  2. Locations Coral Reefs are the pink parts http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects ocean/Coralreef.shtml

  3. Types of Reefs http://www.mrstevennewman.com/geo/GBR/Reefs/Barrier.htm Fringing Reefs are reefs that form along a coastline. They grow on the continental shelf in shallow water. Barrier Reefs grow parallel to shorelines, but farther out, usually separated from the land by a deep lagoon. They are called barrier reefs because they form a barrier between the lagoon and seas.

  4. Other types http://www.factmonster.com/dk/encyclopedia/islands.html Coral Atolls are rings of coral that grow on top of old, volcano’s, the reef continues to grow, and eventually only the reef remains.

  5. The Weather • Coral reefs develop in shallow, warm water, usually near land, and mostly in the tropics; coral prefer temperatures between 21 - 30 °C. http://beauty-places.com/beautiful-coral-reefs/

  6. Animals That Live in Coral Reefs Angel Shark Angel sharks are adapted to live in coral reefs because they eat reef animals which are fish, crustaceans, and mollusks (like squid). Angel sharks are also used to the deep, shallow water. http://www.oceanwideimages.com/ search.asp?s=Australian%20Angel%20Shark

  7. Clown Fish Clown fish are adapted to live in coral reefs because they eat the anemones leftovers. http://true-wildlife.blogspot.com/2011/02/clown-fish.html Anemones

  8. Sea Turtle Sea turtles are adapted to live in coral reefs because some of them are carnivores and the others are herbivore. Most turtles eat crab, lobster shrimp, jellyfish, shellfish, and small fish. http://www.seaturtlenet.com/the-green-sea-turtle /the-green-sea-turtle-pictures?nggpage=2

  9. Jellyfish Jellyfish are adapted to live in coral reefs because they can catch fish but sea turtles and other fish eat jelly fish. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases /2007/07/070702151056.htm

  10. Puffer Fish Puffer fish are adapted to live in coral reef because puffer fish are carnivores and they eat corals, sponges, sea urchins, and other echinoderms. http://poisonouscreatures.blogspot.com/

  11. Some Plants in Coral Reefs Red Algae Red algae is adapted in coral reefs because it can survive living with a little water but not without water. http://marinebiomeofbrisbane.blogspot.com/ 2012/01/native-plants.html

  12. Red Mangrove Red mangroves are adapted to sandy soil by growing it’s root above water. http://marinebiomeofbrisbane.blogspot.com/ 2012/01/native-plants.html

  13. Turtle Grass Turtle grass is adapted in coral reefs because they are like sea weed but they are not, their roots are really strong because it holds the grass in the ground. http://www.reefs2go.com/product/MAC-TURTLE-1/ Live-Saltwater-Turtle-Grass-Shoot.html

  14. Sea anemones Sea anemones are adapted to live in coral reefs because clown fish eat their left-overs. http://radiothalassique.blogspot.com /2009/12/sea-anemone-lonely-lonely-that-is-me.html

  15. Lettuce Coral Lettuce coral had adaptation problems at the beginning because of bleaching but not anymore. http://photography.nationalgeographic.com /photography/photos/underwater-landscapes/ #/lettuce-coral-nicklen_18444_600x450.jpg

  16. How Humans Affect Coral Reefs http://peakwater.org/wp-content /uploads/2011/01/water-pollution.jpg Coral reefs need the right temperature and clean water to survive, and when humans pollute the air or water, it hurts the reef. Even pollution from people living far away from the ocean can affect the coral, because water is always moving around the Earth through rivers and streams and through the water system.
