Ist 421 course description l.jpg

IST 421 Course Description

This course provides students with the theories, models, and analytic techniques required to develop solutions forintegrating and interoperating heterogeneous applications.Basic concepts that must be applied to enable diverseapplications developed under different rules and standards to process cooperatively will be explored andillustrated via a comprehensive group project. This course serves as a focused introduction to the conceptthat information systems must be utilized (i.e., re-used) rather than redeveloped and will give consideration to therole of users and the impact of information systems onthese people.
