  • A scale is a proportional representation of an object.

  • The scale of a drawing should be near the title

  • If there are multiple views with different scales, the scale should be placed as close to the view as possible

  • Scale can be given as 1:1, 1:2, and so on for objects that are being scaled down

  • Scale can be given as 2:1, 4:1, and so on to show objects that are scaled up
