  1. BEAN BAG AND TASER DEPLOYMENT • Call at 7300 Cerro Negro-suspicious subject-11-26-2010 1056 hours. • Subject Maldonado found hiding in room after forced entry made. • Door was kicked in and subject was 5-6 feet away standing in the middle of the room with a knife to his throat. • Subject stated he had propane canisters rigged to blow up the residence, he was not leaving alive, he was waiting for this day, and the officers needed to drop their guns and leave…..

  2. Subject did not advance or point the knife at officers, but would not drop knife. • Subject stated he was a Bandito gang member had been beat up by the cops before, was not going back to jail and had been tazed and shot with bean bags before. • Subject stated these weapons would not bring him down.

  3. Incident lasted 2 hours. • Subject shot with bean bag munitions over 20 times. • Subject shot with the taser 15-20 times. • Subject did not drop, or drop the knife until one of the last shots that hit his wrists. • Subject had picked up clothing which he held as a shield all while being struck.

  4. Tazer would be deployed, subject would lean against the wall, ride the pain and then rip the wires out still while sticking the knife to his throat. • Subject had several well placed bean bag rounds and one of which you can see to the shin area, through the skin to the bone. • This did not bring him down. He only lifted his leg shook it off and continued to yell.

  5. Subject heavy narcotics user (cocaine) unconfirmed bi-polar, schizophrenic and having other health issues.

  6. Subject was struck on the hand and wrist as shown in the pictures. • The bean bag actually lodged itself into the meat of the wrist.

  7. Officers would fire their munitions, back out and re-load, beanbag munitions were brought to the scene after officers exhausted their munitions, same with the tasers.
