Sentences 1-5 (Week 15) • Continue firefly article and poetry • Determine factual information the poets included using specifics from “Stars With Wings” • Create a graphic organizer for tomorrow’s timed writing • Read AR book, go to library, take test • – 25 A.R. points DUE February 15th

January 20 • Write a multi-paragraph expository essay • Quick write: only 26 lines • Synthesize information between poetry and nonfiction • Explain which poem, "Fireflies in the Garden” or “Fireflies”, uses more accurate details • Write thesis • Write rough draft • Homework: Complete rough draft if needed. • Write final draft in class on Monday.
