  2. How many of you started school later in your life?

Educational Journey • 2009 enrolled at CMN • CMN helped me realize my true passion • 2010 I took off a year because of personal reasons • 2011 returned to school • Finally in 2013 I completed my goal of obtaining my Associates Degree • Use my degree to elevate my current job position to better provide for my family

  4. Thesis Statement • The college of Menominee nation has helped me understand who I am as a person, instill the passion in me to be a part of the Oneida community and their culture, and put in a position to get a better paying job, so I can better provide for my family.

  5. Artifact • The Decision of Becoming a parent • I considered being a foster parent • The assignment helped me see that there are important economic, sociological, legal and psychological factors to ones decision on being a foster parent. • This assignment helped me to educate my family member about raising a child in a drug and alcohol free environment

  6. Corrupt Politicians • This paper helped me understand the ethical part of my position as a community elder caretaker • It helped improved my integrity as a leader by doing what's right and even when someone isn't looking

  7. Community Service • Domestic Awareness walk • Alzheimer's convention • CPR Training

  9. Conclusion • Once again I'm thankful I decided to return to school because CMN helped to understand the person I am today and helped me to embrace the Oneida culture as well as be more effective in my job position. • Thank you for coming
