  2. Essential Learnings • Students will be understand and be able to determine whether a figure has a dilation (reduction or enlargement) and determine the scale factor.

  3. Similarity Transformations • Enlargement makes the figure larger. • Reduction makes the figure smaller.

  4. Example 1 Graph the original figure and its dilated image. Then verify that the dilation is a similarity transformation. V(-3,4), W(-5,0), X(1,2) Y(-6,-2), Z(3,1)
