  2. Rural Generalist Prevocational workshops Why workshops? The workshop format was seen as the ideal way to immerse trainees in the Rural Generalist context. Overarching workshop objective To enhance clinical practice skills and personal confidence, develop capacity and illustrate a variety of strategies to address personal, family, social, community, ethical and networking issues which impact on clinical practice in rural areas.

Rural Generalist Prevocational workshops • Assessment: • Multi-source feedback during facilitator debrief sessions • at end of each day • Criterion-referenced (Communication, Clinical Skills, Professionalism) • marking sheets for each session • Assessed as Satisfactoryor Unsatisfactory(needs remediation)
