  3. IDEA A deeper understanding of God’s Glory will help us get involved in mission Psalm 96:3-4 “Declare His glory among the nations his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”

  4. What is the meaning of God’s Glory? 1. God’s glory refers to the “honour and praise & reputation of God Himself.” God will not share the honor and praise of His name with anything. Isaiah 42:8 “I am the Lord; this is my name and my glory I will not give to another; nor my praise to carved images.”

  5. This is the most common usage Is God receiving the glory from His creation? Isaiah 6:3 “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” Romans 1:21-23“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their hearts were darkened. The earth is full of natural beauty, which declares the honour and praise of God. It points to the greatness of God as creator. It declares the reputation of God Himself. The reason for not glorifying God is sin in the heart and mind. Thus, the gospel must be preached to all the nations.

  6. What is the meaning of God’s Glory? 2. God’s glory refers to the “Endowment of blessing, power and life.” Glory is used to describe the awesome power of God.

  7. Isaiah 58:8 “Then your light will break forth like dawn and your healing will quickly appear, then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.” Thus, the glory of God is described as a power, which will protect God’s people. He is the “rear guard”. He marched with them during exodus journey.

  8. What is the meaning of God’s Glory? GLORY OF GOD: - Endowment of blessing - Endowment of power - Endowment of life.

  9. What is the meaning of God’s Glory? 3. God’s glory refers to “the heavenly dimension of His beauty that emanates from his character.” Heaven is a place of glory. It’s the beauty of His character. It is manifested in all His attributes.

  10. Psalm 73:21 “You will guide me with your counsel and afterward receive me to glory.

  11. Illustration: Just as the sun radiates energy and light, God exudes glory. It is the tangible manifestation of the infinite beauty and splendour of his magnificent face.

  12. What is the meaning of God’s Glory? I Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

  13. Conclusion Therefore, having understood what the glory of God is, let us boldly preach the gospel. We should not be ashamed of the gospel.
