Preparing for your pcs preparation can help reduce the stress of moving your furry friend

  • Speak to your Veterinarian about requirements needed for your pet to travel.

  • Determine if your vaccinations are current

  • Allow as much time as possible to make travel arrangements

  • Contact housing office to determine the breed restrictions (base specific)

  • Check to see lodging accommodations are pet friendly

Choosing the right kennel for your pet s pcs

  • Head clearance in kennel to

    • 2 inches for domestic flights

    • 3 inches or more for international flights

  • Need ventilation on all (4) sides and made of hard plastic

  • Kennel must have metal door

  • Kennel must be secured with metal bolts vs. plastic

Tips for your pet s pcs

  • Never give any pet sedation prior to traveling

  • Do not feed your pet 4 hours prior to departure

  • Place a small item with your scent on it inside kennel.

  • Here are some examples

    • Pillow case

    • Small blanket

    • Towel

  • Allow you pet time to adjust to the kennel
