Cons to Re-assignment: • Extra transition for students; • Possible effect on property values; • Parents “chose” specific schools (home location); • May split some large developments; • Longer travel distances possible (up to 9.4miles delta); and • May need to transition some staff to other schools.

  3. Grandfathering Rising 5th and 8thGraders: • Transportation Cost 5th Grade Only: • Purchase 9 busses $738,000 • Operation cost $334,583 • Total $1,072,583 • Transportation Cost 8thGrade Only: • Purchase 12 busses $984,000 • Operation cost $503,552 • Total $1,487,552

  4. Grandfathering Rising 11th and 12th Graders: • Transportation Cost 11th Grade: • Purchase 8 busses $656,000 • Operation cost $576,206 • Total $1,232,206 • Transportation Cost 12th Grade: • Purchase 10 busses $820,000 • Operation cost$288,103 • Total$1,108,103

  5. Grandfathering Rising 10th Graders: • Transportation Cost 10th Grade: • Purchase 13 busses $1,066,000 • Operation cost $ 864,318 • Total $1,930,318

  6. Phased-In Re-assignment: • Provides that all students may remain at current school through school configuration and provide own transportation; and, • Transition to new school assignment occurs at grades K, 6, and 9.
