  4. Homework Structure • You will have five articles to read with associated questions. These questions will include comprehension analysis and research components. • The emphasis of the homework is always on news & current affairs. • Articles will be sourced from magazines like Businessweek, Fortune Magazine & The Economist and newspaper like the New York Times. • When answering research questions, the source(s) of your information must be clearly identified. Note: wikipedia is not an acceptable source. • Some limited class time may be provided to start homework, but many hours will be required at home.

Assessment Item: Managing the US EconomyPresidential Campaign & Debate Part A: Campaign Materials: Friday 26th October Part B: Economic Debate: Monday 29th October • Each person will prepare a 10 minute speech, supporting by a range of visual aids, includes graphs, charges and other appropriate images. • In addition each person will be required to engage in rebuttal of at least 2 minutes duration. Weight: 15

  7. US Presidential Debate: Economic Issues Structure • The class will be divided into two opposing political teams – The Democrats & the Republicans. • The Democrats will choose their leader to be President Obama and the Republicans will choose their leader – Mit Romney.
