  1. Patti LaBelle, with Austin based band, Les and The Funk Mob, bring down the house at The University of North Texas. September 22, 2005 Les and the Funk Mob are proclaimed, “The Truth”, by CEO of InnerSoul Records, James Wilson. InnerSoul Records wants only the best for its artists, that is why Les and the Funk Mob has become part of their family which since 2002 has become a safe and welcome haven for true R&B vocalists and musicians. When InnerSoul Records was contacted about the Patti LaBelle tribute, they would have no other band perform with her, except The Funk Mob. InnerSoul Records also uses Les and The Funk Mob for all live tours of their other artists, Grammy-nominated and platinum group AZ Yet and American Idol tour darling Angie Fisher. After the sold out performance, Patti LaBelle came off stage raving about the band. Patti said they were the best she has played with. James Wilson, President and CEO of InnerSoul Records agreed, proclaiming them as, “The Truth” of all musicians.
