Leaf Foldable. Instructions. Step 1. Cut out two leaves Cut out four arrows. Draw and color the“veins ” on both sides of each leaf Label “Veins”, “ U pper Epidermis”, and “Petiole on each side. With both labeled sides facing outward, glue the two petioles together. . Step 2.

  1. Leaf Foldable Instructions

  2. Step 1 • Cut out two leaves • Cut out four arrows

  3. Draw and color the“veins” on both sides of each leaf Label “Veins”, “Upper Epidermis”, and “Petiole on each side. With both labeled sides facing outward, glue the two petioles together. Step 2

  4. Step 3 • Fold the tip of the outside leaf back so it looks like this.

  5. Step 4 • Cut out chloroplasts from extra green paper. Try to make it looked scalloped. • Outline the waved edge in black, and color green.

  6. Step 5 • Glue the chloroplasts to the middle of folded leaf

  7. Inside Tip Step 6 • Draw the stomata's (circles) in black marker in locations shown. • Color circles light green. • Color inside tip dark green.

  8. Step 7 • Color one arrow • Label it “Carbon Dioxide enters through stomata” • Glue it with arrow pointing toward stomata as shown.

  9. Color each of the other 3 arrows different colors • Label 1 “Energy from Sunlight” • Label another “Water from Roots” • Label the last “Glucose leaves the leaf to feed plant” • Open the folded leaf • Paste each in the appropriate place, as shown. Step 8
