  1. In Poland, at Christmas Eve (December 24th), people break wafer, and wish Merry Christmas to each another.At home everyone has got his own Christmas tree. In the evening they find gifts from Santa Claus under the tree. At the table there is one extra place for a stranger, and below the cloth there is some hay. On the table there are always twelve dishes. After supper and unpacking the gifts, everybody goes to church to the special service- shepherdess. In front of houses people have got a stable of Bethlehem. On 25th and 26th December people visit their families.
