  3. Lions main thing that they do is help people in need. In each town the club helps different people. In NZ the Lions Clubs help in these ways; Cancer Society’s Lions Lodge in Hamilton A place for people to stay while they’re having cancer treatment. International Youth Camp in Rotorua. Camp for kids to meet you other kids from around the world. They learn leadership skills. Heads up for kids Collecting old coins and money and exchanging it for current money which then gets used for scholarships. Eyeglass Recycling Sending old reading glasses they’ve collected over to the poor countries. What They Do

  4. Lions main thing that they do is help people in need in each town the club helps different people. In NZ the lions clubs help in these ways; • To help people in poor countries and people in NZ who need help. • To be kind to people. • To meet people. • Learn leadership skills by going on courses. • To became a volunteer. Why they do it

  5. Each town’s Lions club fundraise in different ways. Our local Lions Clubs do the following to fundraise; • Slinky Calf Run • Selling Fire wood • Lions shed • Selling Lions mints • Glow sticks at the balloons overthe Waikato • Raffles How do they fundraise

  6. Our 46,000 clubs and 1.35 million members make us the world's largest service club organization. You can find a Lions Club in most tows and cities in NZ and in some towns like Morrinsville there are 3 clubs to choose from. Location

  7. Lions club International Foundation started in 1968, however the first lions club was started in Chicago in 1917. New Zealand’s first lions club started in Auckland in 1955. History
