Go to the Organization Directory; Search tab; under djacobs, find the S25 search for your campus;

Right-click and Add to Favorites

Go to the Event Directory; Search tab; under djacobs, find the S25 search for your campus and term;

Right-click and Add to Favorites

HINT: Before you run S25, run this search; sort by Start Date and End Date to find your earliest and latest dates for the term run.

The next step is to bind back-to-back reservations for faculty. Make sure that sections have been exported to R25 AFTER most faculty assignments have been made.

Run the Event Search, Ctrl-A to highlight all sections

Click the Actions button and choose Bind Back-to-Back Reservations

Enter settings at left and click OK;

Sections will be connected for faculty teaching consecutive classes. Run CSAR with faculty sort to verify that you have caught all consecutive classes.

If you need to bind or unbind any sections manually, open the section and go to page 2, Set Binding Reservations

Click on Scheduling on the menu;

Choose Schedule25

The Shedule25 Directory window appears; Click on the New button to create a new S25 run

Name your run by term and campus

Create a directory under C:\SCHEDULE25 for storing all these files

Choose the S25 Space Search, Organization Search and Event Search

CHANGE SETTINGS!

Enrollment Adjuster: 0.85

Default Enrollment: 20

Highlight the S25 run and click the Prepare Data button

Enter the first and last possible dates for the term; keep all other settings as is; click OK.

The Data Preparation process takes some time as R25 is preparing the files for S25; you can watch its progress on the bottom status bar.

When Preparation is Complete, check all errors and warnings; fix anything that is necessary

After Preparation, you can review the files at any time by clicking the Files button. This button also lets you access Reports after you run S25.

After Preparation, you are ready to run S25. Click on the S25 button.

Schedule25 will run and show you a summary of its results.

To review the Results, click on the Review Results button

  • Review all lists:

    • Placed, Not Imported

    • Imported, Previously Assigned

    • Not Placed

    • Impossible to Place

    • Errors

  • You can open any event to make adjustments, go to page 2 to check requirements, check for rooms and compare

If you are pleased with room assignments under “Placed, Not Imported”, select the sections you wish to place and click the Assign button

  • To send room assignments to Datatel, go to the cabinet and work on one folder at a time:

    • Select events in each folder

    • Right-click, Complete todo’s for Space Needed

    • Right-click, Generate Replies

  • Rooms will now show in Datatel; run CSAR to view room assignments

  • Go to your to-do list to work on Headcounts and unassigned rooms
