    11. The visual acuity could not be recorded at presentation in a total of 34 patients in the 4 years, the important causes being traumatic vitreous haemorrhage, retinal detachment and total hyphaema.

PREVENTION Burst crackers under parental guidance Burst crackers only in common open place Wearing protective glasses Having water by the side By lighting the cracker at arms length By strictly following the instructions given by the manufacturer “Prevention is not better than cure. It is the best”
