  7. Guiding Principles • There are TEN guiding principles • Elaborate on the philosophy • Anchor the Aims and objectives • Inspire and guide us • Underpin the reasons WHY we educate • Focus on WHO we work for

  8. Aims & Objectives • There are SEVEN principle AIMS of the strategy • Reflect the main THEMES of the strategy • Student Centered, Diversity, Assessment, Professionalism, New modes of delivery, Regulatory compliance, Validation and assurance of strategy • Help define the measurable objectives

Measurable Outcomes • Each Aim has several objectives • Objectives have multiple measurable outcomes identified • Target dates for implementation • List of outcomes is NOT definitive • New outcomes consistent with principles and aims can be added • External factors may impact on implementation

  10. About the process used • Many Meetings • 10 Revised Drafts • Multiple email exchanges • Frank exchange of views • Respect for diverse opinions • Commitment to finish the job
