SETMS OVERVIEW I • SETMS • Automated Talent Management System • For Army Civilians at the GS 14/15 grade or equivalents • Is a volunteer system. • System to be used for selection process for Leader • Development opportunities • Army Senior Civilians (GS 14/15) • Have option to opt in and apply for any of the following • leader development training opportunities: • Senior Enterprise Talent Management (SETM) - TDY • Enterprise Placement Program (GS 15 Equivalents Only) • Senior Service College (SSC) • Defense Senior Leader Development Program (DSLDP)

SETMS OVERVIEW II • SETM Applicants • Applications for SSC, DSLDP, & SETM programs must be submitted in SETMS • Complete the Applicant Career Brief • Complete Applicant Survey • Required to upload documents to their Applicant Career Brief • in SETMS that are specifically required for each program (i.e., Security Clearance, Civilian Education System (CES) • verification, School specific forms) • Must submit Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) in SETMS • to apply for DSLDP.

SETMS OVERVIEW Ill • The SSC and DSLDP checklists updated to reflect SETMS • automated application process • SSC and DSLDP checklists can be found on the Senior Enterprise Talent Management (SETM) website at • https://www.csldo.army.mil/Index.aspx. • Raters, Endorsers, Commanders and Functional Chief • Representatives (FCRs) can endorse applicants in SETMS. • Endorsers must be grades of Senior Executive Service • (SES) or General Officer (GO).

  24. SETMS PROCESS • Step 7: Commands will board all applicants and build an Order of Merit List in SETMS to be forwarded to CSLMO by the HQDA suspense date. Command boards must have a GO or an SES as one of the board members. • Step 8: The Senior Enterprise Talent Management Board (SETMB) will convene in July and August to review applications forwarded by Commands. The SETMB will assign applicants to one of four categories: • Ready for increased challenge • Ready for career broadening • Build tenure or experience • Contribute in place
