  2. See the difference: Ode on a Grecian Urn Thou still unravish'd bride of quietness! Thou foster-child of silence and slow time Sylvan historian, who canst thus express A flow'ry tale more sweetly than our rhyme: What leaf-fring'd legend haunts about thy shape Of deities or mortals, or of both, In Tempe or the dales of Arcady? What men or gods are these? What maidens loth? What mad pursuit? What struggle to escape? What pipes and timbrels? What wild ecstasy? Lady of Shallot On either side the river lie Long fields of barley and of rye, That clothe the wold and meet the sky; And thro' the field the road runs by To many-tower'd Camelot; And up and down the people go, Gazing where the lilies blow Round an island there below, The island of Shalott.

  3. What are some things you think of when you hear King Arthur? • Chivalry (gentlemanly behavior) • Camelot • Sir Lancelot • Merlin • Queen Guinevere • Excalibur • Holy Grail • Horses • Medieval • Knights of the Round Table

  4. King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table Why the interest? The first legends of Arthur were printed in English in 1634… now it’s the mid-1800s. Any thoughts? Hint: People are becoming more educated… People are concerned with propriety (good manners) Write 2 reasons why the Victorians would suddenly be interested in King Arthur.
