  39. Plurals! Special cases Sommige zelfstandige naamwoorden eindigen met –ics maar zijn geen meervoud: 7 gymnastics, athletics, politics, physics, etc. Example: Gymnastics is my favourite sport.

  41. Plurals! Special cases Sommige zelfstandige naamwoorden eindigen op een –s maar kunnen enkelvoud of meervoud zijn: 9 A means of transport A television series a species of birds Example: I know 200 species of birds.

  42. Plurals! Special cases Als het gaat om meer dan 1 persoon of ding wordt in het Engels altijd meervoud gebruikt. 10 • Examples: • It happened ten years ago. • - His two sons are farmers. Let op! In het Nederlands gebruik je dan vaak het enkelvoud.
