GADS Task Force • Talked about mandatory GADS reporting for many years. • In June 2010, the NERC Planning Committee (PC) approved a task force to determine if GADS should be mandatory and to what level. • About 72.4% of the installed conventional units 20 MW and larger already report to GADS. • On March 10, 2011 PC meeting approved move to send Section 1600 request to FERC. • Now, out for Public Comment until May 5, 2011.

  4. Next Move for Wind • Next Meeting of the GADS Wind Turbine Working Group • AWEA Wind Power 2011 Conference and Exhibition • May 22-25, 2011 • WTWG meeting on Wednesday May 25 am or pm (not sure at this point) for 4 hours. • You don’t have to register with AWEA to attend the WTWG meeting.
