  1. Black Sea Regional Transmission Planning ProjectFebruary 25-26, 2010Yerevan, Armenia

  2. By existing schema, power supply of Batumi Region is provided by two 220 kV OHLs. Big length of these lines and inequality of this lengths does not allow to export from Batumi more than 150 MW because of voltage will be reduced. In addition it is feasible increasing of load in Photi Region up to 100 MW, because of free industrial zone creation in Photi.

  3. It is planned to build 220 kV S/S Khorga and 220 kV line from Zugdidi 220 to Khorga. Also, in this S/S will be invaded existing OHL “Vardnili 220 – Batumi 220” and lengths of 220 kV OHLs to Batumi : “Khorga-Batomi” and “Menji – Batumi” will be approximately equal. So it will be solved the voltage problem and in case of necessity it will be possible to export from Batumi to Khopa (Turkey) about 250 MW. • In addition, power supply of Photi Free Industrial Zone will be provided by two circuited 110 kV OHL from S/S Khorga.

  4. In Western Georgia will be built Namakhvani HPPs Kascade, with total installed capacity 450 MW: • Tvishi HPP - 100 MW • Namakhvani HPP - 250 MW • JonetiHPP - 100 MW

  5. In Samtskhe Javakheti Region will be built HPPs: • Faravani – total capacity 80 MW • Mtkvari – total capacity 20 MW

  6. Building of 400 kV line to Armenia (S/S Qsani 400 – S/S Hrazdan 400) with exiting 220 kV line Alaverdi will increase of Power transit capability to and from Armenia up to 650 MW.

  7. Thank you for your attention!
