  1. Ap Spanish Language Course Expectations 2013-2014 Kathleen Taylor ktaylor@holmdelschools.org srataylorap.wordpress.com (732) 858-1099 Course Description:The AP Spanish Language Course is a rigorous course designed to be equivalent to a 3rd year college level Spanish course. This course will be conducted completely in Spanish and focus on grammar, composition, and conversation, as well as test-taking skills leading to preparation for the AP Spanish Language Examination. Students taking this course will continue to develop their proficiency by repeatedly practicing the target language in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural knowledge through interaction in Spanish with the teacher and peers. Materials will include authentic audio and video recordings, podcasts, film and written material including newspapers, magazines, and literature. Extensive training in the organization and writing of compositions will be emphasized.

  2. TESTING DATES AP SPANISH EXAM: Tuesday, May 6th , 2014 SAT: Spanish with listening: November 2nd SAT: Spanish (no listening) Oct. 5th, Dec. 7th, Jan. 25th, May 3rd, June 7th

  3. GRADING POLICY Graded activities will vary by marking period. Most will fall within the realm of quizzes, tests, dialogues, compositions, homework, posters, presentations, group work, class participation, oral recordings, and journal entries. 20% Homework 20% Tests 30% Participation 30% Quizzes/Projects/Presentations

  4. HOMEWORK Homework: Homework must be complete on the day it is due. If it is not complete, no credit will be given that day. Students may turn it in the next day for partial credit.   5. EXTRA HELP I will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room 903 from 2:05-2:35. I am also available at other times by arrangement.
