Basic Rotary Learning Path

  2. Re-Designed Basic Rotary Certification Focuses on field technicians’ performance and their ability to do job-related tasks. Focuses on flexibility, technician performance proficiency, and certification competency. Centers around technicians demonstrating competency before being certified in Basic Rotary. Allows technicians with certain background experience the opportunity to test out of Basic Rotary class.

Basic Rotary Overview • The Basic Rotary Technician Learning Path has been updated to a multi-sectional program designed to effectively certify newly-hired field service technicians • The Learning Path consists of the following sections: • Overview • Structured online pre-work curriculum • Pre-work manual and test • Either the Basic Rotary Class or Equivalency Exam • Structured online post-work curriculum • On-the-job Performance Checks • Basic Rotary Recertification

  4. Basic Rotary Highlights Complete Foundational Skills (Pre-Work Curriculum) • contains six online courses and a Pre-Work Manual with test that must be completed. This curriculum provides basic knowledge needed prior to enrolling in the Basic Rotary class or attempting the Equivalency Exam. Previous IR/Competitor/Distributor Experience • newly-hired field service technicians with previous Ingersoll Rand, competitor, or distributor experience have opportunity to bypass Basic Rotary classroom training by attempting a Proficiency Advancement Equivalency Exam. Meets Proficiency Advancement Criteria • managers use established criteria to determine if a newly-hired field service technician is eligible to attempt the Basic Rotary Equivalency Exam.

  5. Basic Rotary Highlights Passes online Basic Rotary Equivalency Examination • technicians who pass exam meet training requirements and do not need to attend the Basic Rotary classroom training. Technicians who do not pass the exam will then need to enroll in the Basic Rotary class. Technicians will have only one opportunity to take this exam. Complete Basic Rotary Course • five-day class (AST302) conducted in Davidson, North Carolina or at some regional locations. Complete Developmental Skills (Post-Work Curriculum) • Contains online courses that must be completed prior to moving on to Certification Performance Checklists.

  6. Basic Rotary Highlights Certification Performance Checklists • consists of Performance Checklist series. Each checklist is completed by a Senior Service Technician, Master Service Technician, or Service Manager with the new Field Service Technician. An Online Acknowledgement is completed after all of the Performance Checklists are finished to complete the certification process. Recertification Curriculum • contains a series of online courses and a test that must be completed for Basic Rotary recertification.. required every three years.

Basic Rotary Logistics Newly-hired Ingersoll Rand Field Service Technicians codes will automatically be enrolled into the Learning Path AIRD Channel Partners should follow the directions below to enroll into the Learning Path. • Log into the Learning Management System at http://mylearning.ingersollrand.com/lmt/xlr8login.login?site=ircliand search for Basic Rotary Technician Learning Path.
