Transforming Prisons: New Beginnings

The Department of Correctional Services aims to transform prisons into correctional centers that provide a fresh start for offenders. The new Correctional Supervision and Parole Boards ensure transparency and independence in the decision-making process. Parole allows for the conditional release of offenders into the community before the expiration of their sentences, facilitating a controlled transition back into normal life.
