ARE YOU EARTH FRIENDLY! • Well if you asked me that question I would say yes and no. • On my quiz I got 5 for yes and 5 for no. it is basically like I'm not here • Some things I do are walk or ride my bike instead of catching a ride,I find new ways to use old things,andi close the windows when the air coditining or heat is on • Some things I don’t do though is take quick showers, my family does not carpool, and I don’t bring bags to stores

  3. What can you do with a 2 litter bottel?wellhere is an idea! One thing you can do is make it into a 50 watt light bulb.all you have to do is get the bottle filled with clean water.than you put 2 cap sizes of bleach in it. Make sure to put a camera lid over It the cap to protect it from the sun.than all you have to do is put it somewhere and your done. I learned this at wisebread.com

THE 3 R’S • Most people know the three r’s!if you don’t well than your about to find out! • REDUCE-to not use that much of something • REUSE-to use an old object instead of buying a replacement • RECYCLE-instead of throwing away stuff put it in the recycling bin so that it can be turned into a new object • If I made a 4th r it would be remember-remember the rest of the r’s .this is important because if you forget these you can not put them in action

Since I told you all these things about helping our environment we have to put them in action • At school you can put your water bottles in the recycling bin! • In your community you can volunteer to pick up litter on the side off the road • At home you can turn the lights off when you are not using them • These are some ways to make a difference

  6. Do you know if we recycle 1 ton of papers we can save 17trees • 17 trees may not seem that much but 17 trees can give 17 animals a home. • One tree = one animal so try to recycle

  7. How about if we recycled half of the worlds paper? How many acres would that be • It would be 20 million acres of forest would be saved • Once again 1 tree = 1 animal • That means more than 20 million animals will be saved

  8. How many pounds of plastic does America throw away yearly? • 20 billion pounds of plastic are thrown away only In america each year • When that plastic gets to the ocean it kills thousands of animals
