  2. What Is It? • The blended service model was created to service all students struggling in any academic area without “labeling” them or letting them fail first.

The blended service model was created to enable classroom teachers and support staff to work in a fluid, fast and collaborative capacity when implementing interventions. • Team Teaching • Observations • Demonstration Lessons • Small Group Push-In • Learning Lab: Small Group Pull-Out • Supporting Benchmarks & Standards

  4. The blended service model was • created so teachers can work • collaboratively to design • appropriate remediation and • interventions for those students • in need. • AST Team: diagnoses and prescribes specific intervention

  5. After School Academy AST Academic Support Team diagnoses then prescribes Intervention (4-8) Jumpstart, Read Naturally, Rewards, Quick Reads Supplemental (K-3) General Ed. Classrooms General Ed. Classrooms Intensive (K-3 Strategic/Intensive) (4-8 Strategic) Resource Elementary School BSM Special Day Class AST diagnoses and prescribes ELD

  6. High School BSM Career Services SST Care Team Special Education AST 504 Title I Academies ESL Library& Computer Lab General Education Learning Center

  7. World Café Process • Each table must have at least classified and certificated representative from each site • No more than 6 people and no less than 5 (host doesn’t count) • Discuss the question for 20 minutes • Second round is repeated as the first, but with all new table mates
