  4. RIM in the Headlines • BlackBerry Curve 8300 was named the top consumer smartphone in North America 2009. • RIM has just released the BlackBerry Storm2 9550, and the Bold 9700. • RIM, BMO, and MasterCard have started a project that could result in cell phones one day replacing credit cards.

  5. RIM in the Headlines • Klausner Technologies filed a lawsuit with RIM and Motorola with infringing it’s patents. • In the fourth quarter of this year, RIM shares slid 5.75% due to the up and coming competition.
