  2. Basic Description Free topic Research Paper. Three to five pages long (3-5) A minimum of three reliable sources should be used. The Research Paper must be done with the use of MLA style. Due date: May 9th, 2011

  3. 1. Free Topic This means that you are COMPLETELY free to choose the topic of your liking. However, your topic needs to be approved by the instructor. The process of submitting a topic and having it approved should be done via e-mail.

  4. 2. Sources • Two sources must be professional journals or articles. • Professional journals and articles can be found through the university’s database. • The other source must be reliable, but you are free to select from: • webpage or internet resource • a book’s chapter. • An interview • A survey • Movie • Among others

  5. 3. MLA Style • The format of the paper should be in MLA style • Font, spacing, heading, page number, etcetera. • The use of MLA citation and quotation will save your BUTT!!! • Plagiarism is plagiarism even if it was unplanned. • Cite and quote your sources to avoid plagiarism and to show your professionalism when writing. • Don’t hesitate to visit my office or the EWC for help • Owl Purdue MLA Formatting • http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/
