Deployment of units at present • 11 units 1686 people in 5 UN peacekeeping mission areas, including: • one engineer unit of 175 people and one medical unit of 43 people in MONUC • one engineer unit of 275 people and one medical unit of 43 people and one transporting unit of 240 people in UNMIL • one engineer unit of 275 people and one medical unit of 60 people in UNIFIL • One engineer unit of 275 people and one transporting unit of 100 people and one medical unit of 60 people in UNMIS • One engineer unit of 315 people UNAMID

  13. Personnel Selection • The selection of personnel for peacekeeping unit is done with selecting organic unit as a base and selecting specialized personnel as supplements to form the whole peacekeeping unit. • Those selected must be healthy, well qualified, hardworking and professional.

  14. Personnel training • Basic training, includes: • Military thinking education • Physical and survival training • Peacekeeping acknowledgement training • Briefings of situation in the mission areas • Basic military capabilities training • Discipline and protocol training

  15. Training for key members of trainees • Psychological health of peacekeepers • Humanitarian assistance, children protection and trans-culture exchanges • Handling the relations of inter-organizations in the mission area • Management of peacekeeping budget and spending • Safety protection • International human law and law of wars

  16. Qualifications of Instructors • we invite experts and specialists of foreign armed forces on peacekeeping operations to give lectures on safety protection, acknowledgement of mine protection, skills of negotiations.
