  2. Entering Mainland Ecuador You will need a negative COVID test result to enter Ecuador. The country no longer accepts the rapid-antigen testing that allowed many to travel with little planning as proof of health for entering the country. You’ll need to get an RT-PCR test within three days of your trip or documentation that certifies you have received all doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Galapagos-Specific Entry Requirements The requirements to enter the Galapagos Islands include the need for that RT-PCR test to be taken no more than 72 hours before boarding the aircraft you’re using to get to the Islands.
