Problem Statement Across the State of New Jersey, no centralized Statewide repository or database existed which listed all the assets (resources) that may be used in responding to a large-scale emergency or cross-jurisdictional situation such as fire, flood, civil disturbance, storm.. Directly Supports HSPD-5 and HSPD-7

Our Solution • Develop a State wide, comprehensive database to include: Private and Public Sector resources Managed locally Accessible via the New Jersey Portal Geospatial mapping technology Physical Assets, Personnel and Essential Employees • Assets categorized in accordance with FEMA resource typing standards

  5. RDDB Log In Access is through the Portal: www.nj.gov The “Portal” referenced here is the “MyNJ” Portal which is accessed via the State home page.

  9. What Resources Do You Have? RDDB catalogs assets into categories, consistent with the FEMA / NIMS resource typing initiative: ANIMAL HEALTH RESOURCES COMMUNICATIONS RESOURCES EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RESOURCES EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESOURCES FIRE/HAZMAT RESOURCES HEALTH AND MEDICAL RESOURCES LAW ENFORCEMENT RESOURCES MASS CARE RESROUCES NJ NATIONAL GUARD RESOURCES PRIVATE SECTOR and ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE RESOURCES PUBLIC WORKS RESOURCES SEARCH AND RESCUE RESOURCES SPECIAL NEEDS RESOURCES TRANSPORTATION RESOURCES

Resource Types Within these categories, each consists of a number of resource types consistent with FEMA / NIMS resource typing: Category: ANIMAL HEALTH RESOURCES Animal Carries Animal Control Specialist Animal Evacuation Shelter Trailer Animal Shelter C.A.R.T Equipment C.A.R.T. Team Halters Large Animal Transport Team Small Animal Sheltering Team Veterinarian Veterinary Medical Assistance Team (VMAT)

  11. RDDB: Role-Based Access Application Manager: Responsible for RDDB oversight. Performs vetting and adding all Entity Managers for all counties & State agencies and for delegating county, municipal, & agency admin privileges Entity Administrator: Responsible for vetting and adding users to administer their resources and for granting Entity admin privileges for entities within their responsibility domain (e.g. County) or below (e.g. Municipalities) Resource Administrator: These users enter resources and resource locations for their entity or domain. They also manage, update, and perform validations (quality audits) on their resources. Resource Administrators cannot ad new users or grant them access. Consumers (Search only): These users can use RDDB to perform searches for resources or locations, and generate reports.

User for Borough Jerseyville, There are resources listed in the RDDB system for your entity that have not been updated or validated for a period which exceeds the Validation Period in RDDB. Please log in to RDDB and ensure the resources for your entity are valid and correct. For those resources that require an update (such as the Quantity, Availability, Status, etc.) please make the changes and hit Save or Update. For all other resources, please click the Validate button to indicate you have reviewed and concur with the information listed. Thank you, RDDB System Administrator
