  3. Centaur (Sin-tar) • Bodies of horses • Torsos and heads of humans • Savage creatures • Involved in many battles and brawls

  4. Gorgons (Gore-guns) • Winged monster • Brazen claws • Snakes for hair • Was born beautiful • Turned hideous by Athena

  5. Harpies (Har-pees) • Very mean • Half bird • Half woman • Spirits of mischief • Often stole children

  6. Hydra (High-druh) • Body of a dog • 8 or more venom – breathing heads • 1 was immortal

  7. Minotaur (Men-oh-tar) • Head of a bull • Body of a man • Fed on human flesh • Lived in a Labyrinth • Killed by Theseus

  8. Pegasus (Peg-uh-suhz) • Winged horse • Belonged to Zeus • Helped many Greek hero's

  9. Chimaera (ky-meer-ra) • Fire-breathing she goat • Lions head • Goat’s body • Serpent’s tail • Killed by Bellerophon

  10. Satyr (Say-tur) • Torso and head of a human • Lower body of a goat • Originally human • Noisy merrymakers

  11. Siren (Sigh-rin) • Face of a girl • Feet and feathers of a bird

  12. Sphinx (sfeenks) • Head of a woman • Body of a lion • Tail of a serpent • Wings of an eagle

  13. Cyclopes (Si-clops) • One eyed man • Skilled at construction and smithcraft
